The Influence of Work Discipline and Work Motivation on the Performance of Employees of the Directorate of Labor Norm Examination Development

This study analyzes the effects of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance at the Directorate of Labor Standards Inspection Development, Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. A quantitative survey design was used. The population consisted of 86 employees, while 55 complete and eligible questionnaires were analyzed. Data were processed using SPSS 29 through validity, reliability, normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. Work discipline had a positive and significant effect on performance (B=0.386; t=4.283), while work motivation also had a positive and significant effect (B=0.443; t=5.269). Simultaneously, both predictors significantly affected employee performance (F=42.082; p<0.001). The R Square value of 0.618 indicates that work discipline and motivation explain 61.8% of the variation in employee performance.
